Institute
The Gamma Knife Center is in the grounds of the Nasser
Institute. This is a large Hospital under the direct management
of the Ministry of Health and Population.
The Director of the Nasser Institute and his staff have been
very helpful in getting the Center started and in assisting in
the daily running of the Center. |

Dr. Jeremy C. Ganz, a
British trained neurosurgeon is the Clinical
Director. He has been active in Gamma Knife Surgery
since 1988 and has written a book on the subject. He
has taught 73 Gamma Knife sites round the world
during the treatment of the first few cases. and he
continues to write scientific papers and is the
scientific editor of the proceedings of the
International Gamma Knife Society, which are
published in the Journal of Neurosurgery |

Mr. Moustafa El Asmar
is an Egyptian Swedish citizen, with wide experience
in the administration and business worldxs in Egypt
and Sweden. This experience is vital as there is so
much administration involved in a center such as
ours, involving everything from finance, marketing,
human resource management, communication and day to
day administration. |

Dr. Amr Rifaat, is also an Egyptian Swedish citizen. He has a wide and relevant experience in different areas. He is a doctorate in engineering (Teknisklecentiate, from Sweden), He has been a teacher, he speaks fluent Swedish and he has been representing a Swedish governmental company actively assisting Egyptians to achieve the best medical care over many years. Dr. Rifaat is also responsible for the technical support. |
